Zewar-e-Taleem Programme The Zewar-e-Taleem programme provides conditional cash transfers to students attending government schools in 16 districts with low literacy rates. The initiative aims to increase enrolment and retention rates and also meet the essential nutritional needs of adolescent girls. Punjab Government Stipend
districts will receive tuition from grades 6 to 10. Monthly stipend of Rs 1,000. Funds are disbursed quarterly and released once 80% attendance report is received from the Ministry of School Education. Students enrolled for grade 10 will be automatically removed from the program once the academic year ends. Students who drop out of school will also be ineligible for the program. Students who have enrolled in the school under the Department of Education's annual admission drive will receive this scholarship after successful biometric verification.
